Introduction The Ninco World Cup is competed for by Teams from across Europe and beyond using only cars and spares available from the Ninco range.
This years final will be held at the world famous Grand Prix Circuit, Silverstone on Oct 31st/Nov 1st.
There will be a series of Qualifying rounds across the UK with the top two teams securing a place in the Final where a 16 lane Ninco track will be erected especially for the event. The following rules & race format are designed for the UK qualification of the Ninco World Cup only. The rules may differ from the Ninco World Cup Final at Silverstone which will be published at a later date.
Registration.
All Teams and Drivers wishing to enter the event must register with the club hosting the qualifying event they wish to enter.
All Drivers who enter are accepting the terms and conditions applied to this Championship and agree to them.
Championship Format
- Each Team has to be made up of 3 drivers. (No More and no less)
- Each team may have 1 substitute driver available to deputise for an absent team member at an event. The substitute driver must not have raced for any other team at any of the previous qualifying rounds.
- When it is your teams turn to race all 3 teams members should be present at trackside with 1x driving, 1x marshalling and 1x available as team mechanic in case of breakdown / servicing.
- Your Team must enter two or more qualifying rounds as the two top scores will count.
- Points will be awarded as follows.: 1st 20pts, 2nd 19pts, 3rd 18pts and so on.
- In the event of a tie at the end of the qualifying heats the 2 winning teams will be decided on count back.
- · The entry fee is £15 / team of 3 at each event entered.
- · The qualifying events will be raced over a period of time (decided on the day of the event) depending on number of lanes and teams entering each event. eg. 4 Lane track with 6 teams = 40mins per lane per team.
- · Only one car may be used through out a meeting.
- · In the event of a part failing or breaking, the car must be repaired during race time only and in the presence of an event organiser in a specified pit area.
- · Cars will be held by officials and remain in a Parc Ferme when not in use during the event.
- · Only event organisers may handle the cars during the lane change period placing them back on the start line ready for the next segment.
- · Overall finishing positions will be decided on total distance (Laps and footage) Laps and footage will be recorded after every segment.
- · In the event of a track fault, the race will be halted until the track is repaired. Race organisers will then decide on how the race will proceed.
- · Scrutineering will take place at the beginning of every meeting by the Chief Scrutineer.
- · The Scrutineer will require the team to present the car with the body separate from the chassis.
- · The Scrutineer will check the car to ensure all the parts used are eligible and the rules adhered to.
- · Once the car has been checked and passed by the scrutineer the car will be placed in Parc Ferme ready for the event. From that point on the only time you will be allowed to work on the car is during race time.
- · There will be random checks through out the day on the start grid and at the end of the event the top 3 cars will be opened up for scrutineering and for other teams /drivers to see.
- · Only one car to be used through out the meeting.
- · In the unlikely event of a total write off, the team may continue to race with a different car which must pass scrutineering but no points will be earned for that meeting.
- All the team members will have to have share an equal amount of driving time, marshalling and mechanicing duties. In the event of teams not abiding by this rule laps will be deducted.
- Only one driver may be in the driver position at any time except when teams are changing drivers.
- Driver change must take no longer than one minute to avoid distracting of drivers.
- · All teams will be allocated marshalling points around the track which should be attended at all times. Failing to do so will result in a penalty.
- Marshall's functions are as follows.
- · Replace cars on the track that have fallen off at your allocated corner.
- · Keep the corner free from debris and objects that may cause interference with the running of cars.
- · When replacing more than one car back onto the track, ensure that the car causing the accident is returned to the track last and the innocent car replaced first.
- · Each team will appoint a captain before the event who will be the teams spokesperson and be responsible for their teams actions and behaviour during the event.
- · Only the teams mechanic may work on their teams car in the designated pit area and during their teams track time.
- Any team or team member who uses bad language or aggressive behaviour ETC at any point during the meeting will receive a penalty or disqualification.
The Rules
Only Ninco cars listed below and spares available from the Ninco and Ninco prorace range are eligible for use, with the exception of parts listed as free choice.
Eligible Cars.

Motor.
- Only Ninco motors are eligible for use and must retain the original identification wrapper or printing for identification purposes. The suppressor may be removed. The identification wrapper may be trimmed around the air vents only to allow cooling / magnet leakage.
- NO Hybrids or upgrading of motor magnets or brush gear allowed.
- If there is any evidence of the motor can being opened or tampered with this will be deemed illegal.
- The motor can be secured using a small amount of tape and/or Glue.
- Bodies may be repainted, No transparent, translucent or bodies painted inside are eligible.
- Bodies must remain standard and retain all the parts applied to the body in standard form. (with the exception of roof aerials & door mirrors which may be removed)
- Lowering of bodies, body mounting posts and trimming of wheel arches are not allowed.
- The rear wing must be attached at all times. If the rear wing becomes detached, it has to be replaced / repaired as soon as possible and during race time in the designated pit area
- Interiors and windscreens must remain standard and must not be trimmed or lightened. They must be the correct windscreen & interior for the body.
- Genuine Ninco vac formed interiors may be used and must be fitted to the correct body type.
- The chassis has to match the body and remain standard other than very slight sanding of the chassis edges will be allowed to aid body rock. (if this is deemed as excessive by the scrutineer you will be asked to replace the chassis) Motor & bearings may be glued into the chassis. Strengthening or bracing of the chassis is not allowed.
Rear tyres will be available on the day from the organisers at each event.
- Only tyres supplied on the day of the event from the organiser are eligible for use.
- Ninco Prorace rear tyres ref 80516 will be supplied.
- If the tyre is not identifiable by the print on the tyre wall they will be deemed illegal and must be changed.
- Rear tyres are not to be glued to the rims.
- Tyres can only be cleaned during race time and only tyre cleaning solutions and tape supplied by the organising club may be used.
- The Front tyres should meet the following conditions.
· Any Ninco tyre may be used as long as the Ninco branding is visible.
- · Should be of black rubber and cover the full width of the wheel.
- · They may be trued but NO chemicals or substances may be added.
- Any wheels from the Ninco and Ninco Prorace range may be used.
- Wheels must remain standard, no drilling or lightening of wheels allowed.
- Rear Wheels must be a matching pair and of the same Diameter and width but may differ from the front. Rear wheels must be able to accept tyres ref 80516
- Front wheels must be a matching pair and of the same diameter and width but may differ from the rear.
- Wheels inserts may be used if required.
- Ninco and Ninco Prorace F1/Cart wheels are not Eligible.
- Wheels must not Exceed the body work.
- · Only axles available from the Ninco and Ninco Prorace range may be used.
- · Only Axle bearings available from the Ninco and Ninco Prorace range are eligible for use.
- · Bearings may be glued into the chassis.
- · Gears must remain standard, No drilling or lightening of gears allowed.
- · Any combination of gears available from the Ninco and Ninco Prorace range only may be used.
- · Any Guide available from the Ninco and Ninco Prorace range only may be used.
- · Guides blades may be trimmed to suit the track if necessary but no additional pieces may be added.
- · Are not Required and must not be fitted.
Weight.
- · Weight may be added to the inside of the chassis only and must be securely fixed with either super glue, Blu-Tac or double sided tape. (Only Lead or Lead/alloy substitutes may be used.) Weight may be used in the qualifying rounds but is not eligible to be used in the Silverstone final.
- · Only parts from the Ninco and Ninco Prorace range are eligible for use except for the following.
- Braid, Axle/Guide Spacers, Motor to Guide cable.
Notes.
Any modification to car or parts not mentioned above will be deemed as illegal.
Race organisers decision is final.
Magnets. This is a non magnet competition Magnets must be removed from the cars and no additional magnets added.
Rule Penalties.
Minor Breaches.
- · Delay in presenting the car to Scrutineering. - 2 Laps Per Minute car is late.
- · Car found to be Illegal at scrutineering. - 2 Laps
- Serious Breaches. – 5 laps deduction
- · Not pitting to repair the car when requested by race control. E.g. replacing Rear Spoiler.
- · Causing disruption or a stoppage to the race.
- · Not sticking to the rule on shared driving time between members (5 laps per driver)
- · A 2nd serious breach of rules will result in exclusion from the race
- · Lack of Politeness and/or respect towards other teams and drivers. - Disqualification
- · Not abiding to the Rules of the hosting club - Disqualification
- · Marshalling Deficiencies. Using mobile phone ETC 10 Laps
- Not marshalling when required by the Organisers 10 Laps
